Immunotherapy
What are NK cells? (Natural Killer Cell)
NK cells are important cells responsible for innate immunity.
It is a representative autoimmune cell that attacks virus-infected cells or tumor cells.

-
Low activity NK cells
NK cells do not really attach to and cannot attack even if there are cancer cells around them.
-
Highly active NK cells
NK cells attach to cancer cells and actively eliminate them
NK cells attack cancer cells

Changes in NK cell activity results over 3 weeks
-
At the start of treatment (2017.08.31)
NK cell activity : 4.5 -
3 weeks after treatment (2017.09.25)
NK cell activity : > 2000
Interpretation of test results
- Normal value (above 500)
- NWith the activity of NK cells at a normal level, the immune function of NK cells against serious diseases such as cancer is ideal.
- Near the threshold (ess than 250 to 500)
- Although the current immune status is in the normal range and not directly related to the occurrence of disease, the value is still close to the borderline, meaning that immunity is relatively reduced.
You need activities to boost your immunity. - Threshold value (ess than 100~250)
- NK cell activity is lower than normal and may be a precursor to a disease that reduces NK cell activity.
Additionally, borderline values may also be observed when immune function is decreased due to temporary physical or mental stress.
You need activities to raise your immunity. - Outlier (less than 100)
- When NK cell activity is very low, a disease that inhibits NK cell activity may be suspected.
We recommend that you stop taking medications that affect the test, such as anti-inflammatory painkillers, antibiotics, cholesterol lowering drugs, gastric acid inhibitors (PPIs), painkillers, and steroids, and undergo a reexamination in 2 to 4 weeks.
We also recommend that you consult a specialist.
